About Our Ceramics

Can I use ceramics in my dishwasher?
Our ceramics are 100% microwave, dishwasher and oven proof. Made from stoneware, a material known for its durability, our ceramics are break and chip resistant.
Is it scrath resistant?
Yes, our ceramics are designed to be durable and long-lasting. All matte and semi-matte ceramics are susceptible to temporary marks after heavy use. These can be removed easily with hot water and a gentle cleanser.
Where is cimacotta produced?
All of our ceramics are designed in Berlin and handcrafted in Portugal by local artisans.
Will all pieces of my set be identical?
All pieces of one set should look the same. As our ceramics are each handmade individually, there can be some minor differences from piece to piece.
Who are cimacotta ceramics intended for?
Cimacotta ceramics are suitable for anyone. We especially suggest that students, couples, and families will enjoy using them for dinner parties and entertaining family and friends
How should I clean the ceramics?
The ceramics can be easily cleaned either by hand using hot water and soap, or by placing them in a dishwasher.
What’s the difference between stoneware and earthenware?
Whilst both stoneware and earthenware are made of clay, there are some important differences between them. Stoneware clay is fired at higher temperatures than that of earthenware and this makes it less porous, more durable, and also gives it a naturally lighter colour. By using stoneware, we can ensure that our tableware is 100% safe for the microwave, dishwasher, and oven, and is less likely to chip or break.

Yes! All of our ceramics are carefully packaged to ensure that they are well-protected and secure during shipment, so your order will arrive with you safe and sound. If you experience any type of issue with your tableware, reach out to us at hello@cimacotta.com, with your order number and photos of the problem, and we will rectify this right away.
What is your return policy?
Any items that you would like to return must be returned within thirty days of receiving your order. In order to return an item, please contact us via email first at hello@cimacotta.com to submit your return request. Please pack your item(s) and ship them without any damage for a full refund.
